A lot of us have been aching for a more "local" flavored Chicago BMX get together...so we're pulling the trigger!
If you raced, ripped up ramps or were fancy on flatland during the 70s or 80s, we have a great event in store!

Sunday, June 29, Noon-7PM (with a potential after-party)
Who: Anyone who raced or rode in the Chicago-Area or was sponsored by a Chicago-based team (so Welcome to Hoosiers, Hawkeyes, Michiganders, et al.).

Bikes: Bring 'em if you got 'em. It'll be a show & shine format, and there is some parking lot space for a little flatland jam, if you are so motivated.
Food: Barbecue pit will be in effect. Burgers, Brats, Dogs and other common fare provided by VintageBMX.com There will be a "DIY Grill" if you want to bring a slab of bison or veggie burgers for personal consumption.
**Bring a side, a vintage signature creation or a dessert for the group.**
Drink: Beer, Wine and Soft Drinks Provided. Bring your own outside of that (but if you're bringing, or planning to enjoy high-octane beverages, bring a designated driver to haul your a$$ home)
Cost: Free (but feel free to renew your Site Supporter status to help the overall VBMX cause).
Bring the family! (we'll set up some games for the kiddies and maybe a BMX-wife tire drag race or something)

Break out your phone books, email lists and other com devices, and let's get ALL the Chicago-area community out there--including people who are not regular VBMX visitors. Someone you know is in touch with the old crowd...so ring 'em up.
